Community for Women

For the last 3 years Community for Women has operated as a chat list, supported by the web site http://au.geocities.com/naomi_in_perth, hosted on Yahoogroups.

But with the creation of its new Joomla-based site hosted on a commercial platform, Community for Women can offer a far wider range of services and resources, as well as continue its tradition of sharing information and providing personal and professional support for bisexual women.

The new site has dating/networking functionality, and discussion forums, and gives members the ability to upload their own articles, news or stories, as well as embedding videos or audios to share with fellow members.

As with the old site, Community for Women remains committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for bisexual women, totally free of the judgemental or endemically inquisitorial attitude that has been a feature of other women's networks.

Likewise it is free of the oversexualisation that frequently characterises bisexual sites.  Bisexual women are like women everywhere, and deeply resent society's focus on their sexuality.  So although there is space for discussion on topics relating to sex and sexuality, material of a sexually explicit nature is prohibited, and no links to sex sites are allowed.

Membership is only $25 per annum, and it is intended to maintain that low rate in order to ensure accessiblity for women everywhere.
